Melanie was a conference delegate and is a Best Paper Awardee, Franziska and her team organized the conference. Christian Friedrich in conversation with Dr. Kathleen Mar. Kathleen Mar leads the research group "Climate Action in National and International Processes (ClimAct)” at the Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies in Potsdam, Germany. ClimAct focuses on participation in and understanding of political forums that aim to drive climate action, with a particular emphasis on the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC). Kathleen holds a Ph.D. in atmospheric chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley and worked at the United States Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) prior to joining the IASS. This perspective - combining scientific expertise with practical experience in the world of policy and administration - shapes her approach to both research and policy-oriented work.

As a Research Assistant Consultant of the IEU, Cornelius Krueger analyzes how behavioral insights can be implemented in climate projects. Cornelius holds a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Kiel. Before joining the IEU, he worked at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy as a research assistant in the field of Behavioral Economics.

Prof. Walter Leal is the Director of the Research and Transfer Centre "Sustainability and Climate Change Management", which is both organiser of the online conference Climate 2020 as well as the publisher of this podcast. He has been working in environmental and sustainable development since 1987 and he also initiated the International Climate Change Information Programme.

Martha Molfetas is the Executive Director & Founder of Impact Human, an environmental justice outreach education NGO based in New York City. She’s also a Policy Researcher, Strategist, Writer and Consultant on climate, security, development, and resource issues. Impact Human uses photography, interviews, and policy research to educate the public on human rights and environmental injustices faced by communities coping with climate change and pollution. Impact Human believes stories have the power to change perspectives and inspire action, that stories can bridge the gap between understanding and action.
